Meet Irma
Irma is a director of product development at MGIC. She is responsible for leading MGIC’s local and national equitable homeownership strategy efforts, including developing equitable lending programs and strategic partnerships.
Irma has more than 25 years of experience working within the community on Milwaukee’s community economic development and affordable housing collective efforts. Prior to joining MGIC in August 2022, Irma led the strategic development of a portfolio of place-based grants to nonprofits supporting small businesses, financial education and access to quality affordable housing. She served as housing policy director for the City of Milwaukee and deputy director of Select Milwaukee, a HUD-Approved NeighborWorks Organization dedicated to guiding families and individuals in achieving and preserving sustainable homeownership. Irma holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Marquette University.
Opal Tomashevska
Director – Multicultural Business Strategy

Meet Opal
Opal is the director of multicultural business strategy at TruStage. Opal is responsible for leading the development, direction and execution of the company’s Multicultural Business Strategy (MCBS). The MCBS team exists to help TruStage and credit union partners understand multicultural consumers, identify business opportunities, develop action plans, and execute those plans to better serve more customers and generate substantial business growth.
Opal holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development from Edgewood College and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Opal serves on the Board of Directors for the Lussier Community Education Center, on the Advisory Council for the Melanin Project, and as the director of communications for the Midwest Regional Chapter of the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC). She has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Urban Community Arts Network (UCAN). In 2020, Opal was recognized as one of Wisconsin's Most Influential Black Leaders by 365 Media.
